Game play allowed users to create a customized quiz from over 1000 questions in several categories, and 2 levels of difficulty.

The Challenge

The Cable Public Affairs Channel, Canada’s independent source for commercial-free politics in action, wanted a way to connect with viewers through a free mobile app. They approached Pixelpusher to plan, design, and build a quiz that would challenge users to show how well versed they were in Canadian history, politics and geography.

Our Solution

People love games, so we started building one. Game play allowed users to create a customized quiz from over 1000 questions in several categories, and 2 levels of difficulty. Since each game generated was unique, the quiz appealed to everyone from diehard political buffs to grade school students. Available in English and French, thousands of individual games were played in the first two weeks after launch, with many more thousands of shares via Facebook and Twitter. Canadian history…who knew eh?
