Metrolinx
Starting with Metrolinx’s new rail map, Pixelpusher conceived and built a travelling touchscreen memory game…
The Challenge
Metrolinx, Southern Ontario’s regional rail authority, wanted to publicize some expansion plans. Their agency, Free For All Marketing, approached us to help them craft an engaging idea to get the public excited about the proposed new rail lines. With a tour of community events on the horizon, how could we bring some excitement to what is essentially, a large-scale engineering project?
Our Solution
Starting with Metrolinx’s new rail map, Pixelpusher conceived and built a travelling touchscreen memory game, handling everything from graphic design to game and level design. The game worked by lighting up routes on the new transit map. Event visitors needed to recreate the routes in order to advance. The game included over 30 levels, so it could be tailored to each event, and was programmed with three levels of difficulty so it could be played by anyone. All aboard.
